An economical and ecological solution for waste management

An economical and ecological solution for waste management Like many innovations, the Molok® Deep Collection System is based on a very simple basic idea. In this case, the fact that waste collection capacity can be increased many times over compared to traditional surface solutions by utilising a vertical design that allows waste to be stored out of sight underground. Gravity compresses waste towards the bottom of the deep containers used in the Molok® system – saving space and allowing the natural coolness of the ground to reduce the spread of unpleasant odour.

Thanks to their vertical design and large capacity, Molok® Deep Collection containers need to be emptied much less frequently than conventional surface containers, reducing truck usage and fuel consumption, and resulting in more pleasant surroundings for residents as well.

The reduction in environmental impact offered by a typical Molok® installation at a residential location can translate into hundreds of fewer kilometres driven by waste collection trucks and fuel savings running into hundreds of litres of diesel fuel annually. The longer the distance between a collection point and where waste is delivered to, the bigger the savings and the bigger the reduction in a system’s carbon footprint.

Encouraging people to sort and recycle

A clean, efficient, and easy-to-use Molok® system encourages people to sort and recycle their waste more effectively. A typical Molok® collection point includes separate containers for paper, glass, biodegradable waste, as well as mixed waste.

Encouraging people in this way is important, as they are the best ambassadors for spreading greater awareness about the importance of sorting and recycling generally.

The small footprint of the Molok® Deep Collection System also benefits residents by enabling them to make more use of space as playgrounds and gardens.

Solutions for numerous locations

Thanks to a continuous programme of product development, Molok Ltd. can offer a range of solutions for different needs, even including one designed for collecting glass bottles intact. Containers are complemented by a specially designed collection truck and crane.

Containers are designed for decades of heavy use in a wide variety of even extreme weather conditions; all parts are made of recyclable material, and metal items are corrosion-proof.

The wide range of capabilities on offer from Molok Ltd., coupled with their small environmental footprint, makes them ideal for parks, parking and picnic areas, scenic spots, and resorts.

The Molok® Deep Collection System – seen here in use in Finland and China – offers up to four to five times greater capacity than surface bins occupying the same area of ground. This space-saving feature gives them a major advantage and makes them both more convenient to use and easier to empty, and helps them blend in with their surroundings more effectively.
