Five Pemamek production lines for India
Pemamek signed a design, construction, and delivery contract recently to supply a PEMA membrane wall panel line and four PEMA tube prefabrication lines to TBWES, an Indian-based boiler manufacturing joint venture established between Thermax and the Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group in 2010.
The lines will be delivered in October to TBWES’s new supercritical boiler manufacturing facility in Pune.
The boiler panel welding line will be capable of welding membrane wall panels up to 25 metres long and 3 metres wide, and will be equipped with 12 sets of Lincoln Electric PowerWave AC/DC 1000 A SD submerged arc welding units. The line will include complete panel transportation tracks, a fin-bar calibrating line, an automatic tube and fin-bar feeding system, and buffer stores for sub-panels.
The tube prefabrication lines will consist of three PEMA automatic tube cutting, end-bevelling and end-buffing (ATCEP) lines with integrated conveyors. A similar PEMA automatic end-bevelling and end-buffing line (ATEP), but minus a cutting saw, will also be delivered.
Pemamek is the world’s leading specialist in designing and manufacturing welding mechanisation and automation systems, and work-piece handling equipment – and is committed to utilising the best available robot and automation technology in all its products.
